I could have booked a room for under $200 on their site and every room type was available. On that day, an associate brusquely informed us that the resort was at 100% capacity and they were not entertaining any late checkout requests. We asked for a 1 hour extension several days before checkout and were asked to call the day of the checkout. Ask for money if you need to or just say you won’t but please do not lie. On the housekeeping front, our room did not get done one evening and after returning late at night and calling housekeeping, we were told that we should call them everyday to make sure our room is done ( what is the use of the service button then if it cannot be relied upon?)įinally, the issue of late checkout. Here, at least they apologized and tried to make things right though they could do a lot more. To be fair, this is still better than Palazzo (you can check out my reviews of that hotel) where no one seemed to care. Also, maybe they can call the room and keep folks updated on the delays rather than radio silence after order was placed. However, it befuddles me why they can’t be more accurate on the delivery times and pad it by a bit. We were comped delivery charge twice and a box of chocolates were sent once. For example, an order or Caesar salad, Asian salad and pasta with half a bottle of champagne was placed at 9:30pm and delivered just past midnight. They warn you about increased turnaround time but are nowhere close to what you will really experience. One three occasions, we had to wait over an hour and a half to get the order delivered out of which there was more than two hours wait twice.
However, this is where the property loses the first star in this review.
Lobster Quesadilla and Chinese appetizers are highly recommended. There is Asian and Western choices for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The room service menu at the Wynn is way better than Palazzo. The panoramic king is plenty spacious and there was enough space to fit a rollaway and still be comfortable. We had a 63rd floor room with amazing views of the city. Undoubtedly, many of those would have merit but during our three stays at the property (twice at the Tower Suites and in Encore this time) we did not have any issues with noise. My thoughts are that Wynn/Encore is still a better choice despite the challenges we faced ( see below).įirst, there are a lot of reviews complaining about noise from the night club. First, it was great to be back at Encore after several years during which we tried Palazzo /Venetian.
